An Obsession I Need To Confess

Hm…

Because Majolica Majorca and Rimmel came to Malaysia, I had this crazy urge to buy almost everything off the shelves.

I am naming this as compulsive-collecting-disorder. I do not know whether this disorder exists or not, but I think I will have to deal with this crazy behaviour, sooner or later. Before I break my bank account.

You see, I love makeup stuff. Actually, not only makeup, but skincare and haircare stuff too! I think I am a junkie. Like a drug addict who is addicted to his drugs. T_T

I have this crazy urge to walk into each and every Sasa, Watson, Guardian or whatever pharmacy available, and definitely not forgetting all the departmental stores that sells these 3 items. And I end up buying stuff which I have tonnes of them back at home.

  1. I don’t have colours like this!
  2. The packaging is so pretty that I can’t resist!
  3. It’s on sale.
  4. It’s LE! (LE= Limited Edition)
  5. I just want to collect.
  6. It’s a backup.
  7. It’s my favourite brand.

These are the few reasons I give myself for BUYING more and more stuff. And thus, I can buy every single palette of the shelves just because I have this crazy habit of collecting. T_T My purse always go rather empty because of this. And I don’t want a credit card because of this. And yes, I bring limited cash out to help me reduce my impulse buys.

I can’t say it’s impulse buy most of the time, when I have done rather extensive research of everything that interest me, right from colour payoff, texture, staying power and of course pricing, which is one of the most important factor. So I am considered quite lucky that I hardly get the wrong stuff from various lines, and so minimizes my chances of ditching them after a while. And so I must say a BIG thank you to all beauty bloggers (i can’t name all of you, the list is too long! but you know who you are!), Makeup Alley, Urcosme, Malaysianbabes and CozyCot!

And also, because I frequent this few places really A LOT, and so my crazy lemmings get more and more. My list is like ever growing, and never shrinking. T_T

Sigh… And I shrunk my purse last night. *again*

Will blog about my delightful purchase later tonight!

Come back for more stuff, or if you like, subscribe to me! *pointing to the sidebar with a subscription form*

tee hee~ I am trying to make my blog better everyday!

Do you girls have any confession to make? I am listening!

P/S: I will be updating about Rimmel tonight too! So do look out for it!

  3. Haha, sounds like you’re describing ME ;)

Beauty blogs can be really dangerous. It creates huge want lists and we keep buying more and more new makeup when we already have what we need. Sigh.

PS: You’re already on my RSS reader. Does that count as being subscribed to you? :p

  5. Hey Plue, goodness, all the “symptoms” that u described above seems so me! I also love browsing and shopping at Sasa and Watsons and Guardian.

My feet just brings me in whenever I pass by one. So much so that my friends will try to avoid routes that lead to Sasa, Watsons or Guardian..hehe
I frequent the largest Watsons in S’pore at Ngee Ann City till now most of the promoters there know me by name and face ;) They are like my friends already :P

They will usually tell me about their new collections/launches. Sometimes even pampering me and let me take a peek and swatch those products that are launching but not for sale yet. So good to swatch on new testers ;)
I picked up alot of makeup tips from them and often share some news of lastest collections from overseas with them.
Looks like we are all addicted to these places ;)

  6. Hi Gracie,

I kinda understand your feeling and your friend's too! My sister hates to go to Watson because of me! She tries her best to avoid Watson when she goes shopping with me so I won't go in. :P

The SAs are so nice to you. I wish Malaysia's SA are like this. They usually are just being pushy trying to sell products. >_<
