Of Life, Work & Everything Else

How time flies by! It’s the last day of April and finally, manage to squeeze a wee bit of time updating all of you about me being MIA for 3 weeks since my last MAC haul post.

The situation is like this…

… not THAT bad, but bad enough to make me neglect my blog for a really long time!

I have been complaining much lesser about work, maybe I am used to it already. The overtime, working during weekends and constantly picking up the office calls and reading emails from everywhere and everyone with much fear and anger… I think… I am used to it.

Don’t we all?

I gave myself a much needed 2 days break from work and a darling colleague of mine, being as sweet as she is, tries to limit her phone calls to me when I was away. She knows I hate to answer calls when I am not at work, and so she would try to do what she can, and even ignore boss’ request to call me for every single thing! LOL. Thanks sweetie, I owe you one!

The 2 days were relaxing and nice, I just spend time at home, doing almost close to nothing. I enjoy those type of time the best. Free to do what I want, not needing to worry if I am working tomorrow and I have to finish my chores today.

And I went back to office, a much happier person. But I think I can be happier, IF there weren’t a single phone call from the office. HAHA.

And I’ll be busy busy busy until god knows when, but I’ll try to fix my schedule for a blogpost at least once a week. So love me for that, can? Hee~

That’s working life for me.

Personal life. Oh boring. I don’t do much. I don’t shop. Heck. My biggest purchase was magazines from Kinokuniya 2 weeks ago!

But yeah, am eyeing on something which will reach me really really soon. It’s my first leather purchase! Show you girls when it arrives okay? Nothing fancy, but it’s my 1st leather purchase, so am mighty happy bout it! Haha!

And maybe a pair of shoes. Stupid events giving me bad bad bad feet. Think of ill fitting shoes and my toes go blue black! Yucks! And blisters too! I think my feet outgrown my shoes. Never had any problem before though…

I need my sleep. Oh beauty sleep. Work saps all my brain juice, so I need to sleep. Hah!

And that’s life after work for me.

And finally…

I watched Iron Man 2 last night! Because I finally manage leave the office at 6.30! :D And I scored awesome seats! Middle seat middle row! Double yay-ness!

I won’t disclose too much about the movie (I know some of you hate spoilers but I love them! Haha!) but I’ll just tell you what I think.

I really think the 1st movie is better. Somehow, this movie is a bit thin. The villain, is blah. No oomph if you ask me. He’s weird. Just a geeky kid gone bad, like how I tell my friends. Give me a better villain, say someone like the twisted Joker of The Dark Knight? This one in Iron Man, just isn’t memorable. Not that the 1st movie’s villain is any better, but comparing both, I like No.1 better. Haha. Oh! I am looking forward to that evil glassy eye boy who got captured in the end, he’s more of a villain material than the bulky weird one. I think I like villains who have more brains than brawn. :D

Tony Stark, same old same old man. Love that idiotic man. But I love him better in the 1st movie, maybe he got more charm there. Here? A little pathetic, but still okay. Doing much better than silly Villain here. Pepper Potts? Erm… Still okay. Scarlet Johansson? I don’t see her serving much purpose other than potraying this sexy lady. And yeah, she’s HOT! I like! Hahahahah! Other than that, the other characters are okay. As in just okay.

And I can’t help loving those tech stuff Tony has! The computers, the robots, everything! So awesome! I also want!!!!!

I can’t help comparing Batman and Iron Man, because those are the only two heroes I can think of right now that are actually normal human beings, but being so rich and so tech advance, that they can go fight crimes all by themselves. LOL. Don’t hit me! On the other hand, Superman will always be my number 1 hero! Always! Alien or not, he’s awesome! :D

I think I like Tony Stark better than Bruce Wayne, maybe Tony seem to be more human than Bruce, with more emotions and seemingly more… normal than the other one. I haven’t like Batman series much, maybe it’s dark and creepy and hardly light hearted at all. Iron Man manage to grab me heart a bit more, well, Tony’s light hearted and fun, albeit a little too much at times, but I guess we can all relate to that. *winks*

Seems like a Iron Man 3 or whatever sequel that is, will be coming in. I saw somewhere that Marvel slotted 2 movies next year, so I suppose we’ll be seeing more superheroes movie.

Ooi, DC, when are you coming up with Justice League movie? I thought you were suppose to do 1! Bring Superman back!

p/s: while typing this, I remembered that I love Superman because it was Christopher Reeves who played Superman. Those blue eyes. The handsome face. I never miss any Superman movie on TV that time, because I’d know Christopher Reeves was in it. Call it my 1st superhero crush. What’s yours?

By the way, a quote that I’ll always remember by Cyril Connolly.

Better to write for yourself and have no public, than to write for the public and have no self.

I shall always stay true to that, for that was why I had started writing in the first place.

  2. Welcome back, Plue! Sucks that work is so crazy and hectic, but hopefully things should settle down soon. I don’t think people should overwork themselves, they get burned out and things just go downhill. Having some time for yourself is important, I think, so I’m glad you were able to have a short break :) I love Superman! His character has the kindest heart. I admired Christopher Reeves too! :)
