Plue’s Newsflash IX: Updates on MJ, Etude House & Komeie

Hello everyone!

How’s weekend?

I have some updates for everyone! ^_^

If anyone of you have gone to Midavalley Watsons recently, did you notice there’s a new brand around?

It’s called Komeie.

It’s just right beside the shelves that Loreal, Neutrogena, Olay etc are on.

I was there checking out some toiletries, and it caught my attention.

The price for a tiny nail polish is RM3.90, while for their eyeshadow quad and blusher are RM18 respectively. I am not too sure where is this brand from, but the packaging written behind it is in Japanese. I won’t say it’s from Japan, but with the packaging and stuff, it looks more like a homegrown brand to me.

There were no testers, so I can’t quite show you any swatches or anything. But it looks pigmented, and kinda glittery. I am a little worried that it’s nothing but glitters only.

Here’s a sample of the eyeshadow quad.

And now I move on to MJ. I see MJ SA working even after 7pm! So maybe Midvalley Watson staff finally decided they are not letting her finish work at 7pm? Anyway, I will be taking note every now and then just to make sure it stays that way :P

And since I was at Sunway, I dropped by Etude House. According to the SA, they will be having a few branches around KL and PJ. One is already in Kepong Jusco, one is already in Times Square, one to be in 1 Utama (I’m so delighted!), one more to be in around PJ area which she can’t remember the name, but it’s somewhere around Sunway, or so she said. Hm… Maybe Midvalley? Ahahahaha!

I think that’s all from me during the weekends. I am kinda tied up with quite a bit of work, so FOTDs will have to wait >_< And I so wanted to try out my new brushes!

  1. The packaging is so-so. A bit crudely made in my eyes if you ask me. :P

But then, it might be good stuff. I am waiting for testers before buying this brand :P

  5. Hi Elaine,

    thanks for the compliment! :)

I think it’s a bit less princess-y than JS, JS is much prettier if you ask me :P

and thanks for dropping by! ^_^

  6. Hello Kathi!

I think it’s a fairly new product, though I am not sure, and the fact whether is it a homegrown brand or a real JP product still puzzles me.

I doubt it’s available for online purchasing for now. :)

    Thanks for dropping by! ^_^

  9. Hi Plue, the packaging outline of Komeie reminds me a little of Jill Stuart! Though Jill Stuart is way much cuter!

The blue green eyeshadow looks delicious! Too bad there are no testers to see the texture. RM 18 seems rather reasonable too! ;)

  10. Gracie, it’s the cheap dupe of JS! And so much cheaper! :P

I won’t be buying this now, I can’t see myself using this for RM18. Not until I can test it :P

I very much prefer MJ singles for that price LOL
