Coastal Scents Brushes Quickie

Photobucket

This package arrive on last Thursday. Been wanting to write, but I always forget. :P

Inside it contains a few of my newly acquired brushes from Coastal Scents :D

Photobucket
Pink Kabuki, Chisel Detail Mini Brush, Black on Black Taklon Angle Liner, Italian Badger Round Crease Brush

I’ve actually washed and cleaned them, and now awaiting for them to dry. :)

Pink Kabuki is not as soft as what I had expected, in fact CS Deluxe Buffer brush is so much softer! But it’s dense. But it’s not rough or pokey that you feel like you are scratching your face. :)

CS Chisel Detail Mini brush is really mini. Like a mini lip brush. I think it would really be nice to dab a little shadows at the end of your eyes. Those little corners are difficult with normal brushes. At least for me that is.

The Black on Black Taklon Angle Liner is like any other normal paint brushes, but it’s slightly stiffer. I think it would work as a liner brush for gel liners. I have yet to try it out. :)

Italian Badger Round Crease Brush is dense, but soft! My favourite among all three! I really want to test this out! I have a feeling it’ll be a nice brush :D

All brushes did not shed nor bleed when I wash them. They now all smell like Tsubaki! :P

  1. Sounds great!! Isn’t the pink kabuki brush one of the sweetest things you’ve seen today! hehe!! The Chisel Detail Mini Brush looks great for highlighting the inner corners of our eyes! :)

Glad to hear that these brushes don’t bleed when you wash them. My stupid MAC 187SE bleeds dye like crazy… it looks so disgusting now that i don’t dare to use it anymore! :S

  2. It’s a sweet pink kabuki alright, but i am not loving it as much as i thought i would.

but who knows, i might love it later when i actually use it! :P

i thought MAC brushes shudn’t be bleeding or anything? But how come? And i thought of getting a MAC187 stippling brush…

  3. Yep, the full sized MAC brushes shouldn’t bleed. Mine is the SE short-handled one from last year’s brush sets (which is machine made in China)… so heart pain lo!! Guess i’ll have to get a full sized one once i go back!

  5. J, I am saving up a little for the MAC187. CS duo stippling is not too bad for the price, but… i am dying to own one 187! :P

    It’s around RM200 right?
