The Bodyshop Pink Grapefruit Body Butter

This is a yummy-licious product!!!

The smell is refreshingly sweet, you know how pink grapefruit smells, the citrus-y smell of it, words can’t describe enough! You really have to smell it yourself!

The texture is creamy. Upon application, it doesn’t absorb to your skin as fast as normal lotion. It’s a bit oily, or greasy, thanks to the shea butter, cocoa butter and glycerin in it. So if you have normal to oily skin, STAY AWAY. You will hate the greasiness of it!

I have normal skin, but a bit dry on certain parts, like my elbow, upper arms and heels. Weird, but that’s how my skin is. So this is just nice for those itsy-bitsy dry areas.

Honestly, I won’t recommend this for day use, especially if you are always on the go, because this body butter is too heavy and for the weather in Malaysia, you will hate the greasiness of the body butter on your skin, hot weather, sweat, dirt and everything else! But, if you are always in an air-conditioned room, then it’s okay, because air-con strips off moisture so no harm in having something heavier.

I think it’s better or more suited for night use, which means you use it before sleeping. The delicious smell will drift you off the slumberland with everything nice in it, the soft and supple feel of your skin makes you feel relax and pampered… Ah, just like a princess. But then again, it won’t work as well if it’s a hot and humid night, because it’s a heavier form of lotion, things might be a tad too heavy. But it will always work if it’s a chilly night or you are sleeping in a air-conditioned room.

I have a love-hate relationship for this, but if you ask me whether would I repurchase this, I think it’s a firm YES, only if it’s sales. Without sales, it’s a bit expensive. >_< And other than because of the sales, I would buy this just because I am a sucker for sweet smelling things!

I want the Pomegranate, Passion Fruit and Strawberry body butter! All of them smells heavenly!!!!

The Bodyshop Strawberry Body Butter

Update: After much consideration, I decided to buy Strawberry body butter and ditch Pomegranate and Passionfruit. The sweet scent of strawberry is a delight! The absorption is slightly faster compare to Pink Grapefruit, I wonder why. Anyway, to further speed up the process of the absorption of the body butter (both Pink Grapefruit and Strawberry), make sure you apply when your skin is still damp, if not, the body butter feels like as though it’s just sitting on top of your skin. >_< I so wanna go and get the strawberry shower gel! I adore the smell! I've a great substitute for Pink Grapefruit from Shokubutsu, the smell is fantastic and is much cheaper than The Body Shop's! Sadly I can't get nice smelling strawberry shower cream around >_<

The texture for the Strawberry body butter is a bit different than Pink Grapefruit. Strawberry’s is like a cream paste, while Pink Grapefruit is a bit more runny. Anyone knows why? Is this normal? Let me know yeah!

And I’m lemming for this one!

The packaging is pretty and I wonder how’s the smell like. I hope it’ll be released soon in Malaysia!!
