Brushes!

How can you live without brushes?

A good brush speeds up your makeup application, gives you a better finish (it depends on one’s preference though), and uh, it looks more professional?

Oh well, I love my brushes! :D

Let’s start!

Photobucket

1. Coastal Scents Silver Duo Fiber Stippling Brush
2. MAC 187
3. Etude House Dual Fibre Cheek (Glow)
4. Coastal Scents Deluxe Buffer
5. Everyday Minerals Flat Top

I have already reviewed both CS and MAC stippling brush, so I am not repeating it here. Click here if you want to read about it :)

I have also reviewed Etude House’s brush a while back, so here’s the link. Just click!

Let’s proceed with CS Deluxe Buffer brush. :D

The deluxe buffer was one of my first CS brushes. It’s really soft and not scratchy. It feels very comfortable on the face. It did not shed or bleed, even during its first wash. And it didn’t smell much after washing, but it did have a really strong smell initially. :)

However, the brush is not as dense as I thought it would be. But in its own way, it is good. It’s the perfect tool for your powders, be it loose or pressed, and also blushers, sheer or pigmented.

The brush is not available in Malaysia, so you will need to get it through sprees or asking someone to buy from US, or if you have credit card/ PayPal, then go order it! However, the waiting period is kinda long, but for me, the waiting period is worth the wait! :)

Everyday Minerals Flat Top. What can I say? One very famous brush, that’s well known in the mineral makeup world! It’s soft, it’s dense and not many brush can beat it’s softness! :D I got this as my brithday gift from my sister. It was bought off Lovingminerals.com for RM38. Quite cheap actually and the service is pretty fast. :) Grab it when you see it, because it goes OOS really fast!

More brushes coming right up!

Stay tune! And yes, I am still working on my Part II makeup list for 2008! :D

how on earth do people use a flat top (buffing) brush???!!! i tried MUFE’s and failed and I have tried a few since that. all failed.

can’t deal with a flat brush. maybe i just have strange fcial structure…

and yes, we all need brushes… i am an Anna Sui fan.

Nikki: Am working on it! :D

Connie: Uh, let’s just say I forgot I had 1 #187, and bought another 1 “accidentally”. Mistake happens, and I won’t let it happen again. :P Don’t whack me!!!!

Jojoba: I think you have nice facial features, not strange at all!

I usually use flat tops to buff. I haven’t tried Anna Sui before, but they look lovely!

Ahh a makeup brush fan! So close to my heart :)

I use the flat top brush to apply blush on my cheeks. Just a quick application, no contouring. It works for me :)

I love your brush collection! I am so tempted to get 187 but it is so expensive :( I think I will try out Etude house one instead. It look promising. Any idea can it use cream blusher?

    Thanks for the compliment!

I think it should be able to use with cream blushers because of the materials of the brush, but I haven’t try it though :)
