I have been rather busy (as usual!) but I still love my daily/ monthly dosage of good reading materials! Check out what the girls have been writing lately!

Paris of MyWomenStuff reminded me that I really should dig into my new stuff and use them up!

Eli of So Loverly shared tips on using fingers to do your makeup. Makeup brushes, I don’t need you now.

Connie of Skindeco once again shared a very pretty look called Summer Ends, Fall Ascends! Lovely blend of colours!

Jenn of Lipglosseater is now a sexy sultry kitten! Meow!

Nikki of Askmewhats shares her talent in creating a top inspired nail art!

Beetrice of Beetrice’s Reviews indulges in something really whimsical. And it’s really pretty to look at!

Xin of Prettybeautiful tells us how to use liquid eyeliner without using its applicator. Sweet!

And that’s it for today!

TGIF people!

Beetrics of Beetrice’s Reviews told us her favou-red things! I love my red stuff too!

Connie of Skindeco tells us a bit of her oatmeal porridge story with TBS Honey Oat 3-in-1 Scrub Mask!

Nikki of Askmewhats ask if we forced ourselves to finish a product before because of it’s price? A definite yes from me!

Xin of Prettybeautiful did a quick but pretty NOTD! Look at the cute milky colours!

Kahani of So Loverly spotted a little gem in Daiso! Never thought of using that but now I know!

Jenn of Lipglosseater show us her super natural travelling FOTD.

I know you do!

Don’t say no!

Because you will (I think) regret it!

Give it a quick read while I do up my Singapore hauls and beauty finds!

If you can’t read Chinese, nevermind, yours truly Plue will translate for you!

All you need to know is…

Esprique Precious is finally here in Malaysia!

For ladies who have always wanted them, now’s your chance to grab them! I don’t know where the stores would be, but my guess would be places like Gardens, Pavillion and 1Utama. Just my guess, not sure ya know.

Price range is along counter brand prices, if not mistaken something like Maquillage or Lunasol range, but that again, I am not sure if anyone knows, do let me know?

Updates: Eye palettes is RM110, available in 4 colours: blue, purple and 2 shades of brown.

Single eyeshadow RM33, Eyeshadow case RM39 (can fit in 2 eyeshadow)comes in 16 colours? I think so.

Blushers comes in 4 colours, very common nothing outstanding, lipgloss in 6 colours I think. I’ll update if I have any information

And EP is available at all Kose counters

Other than that…

We’ll also be getting this…

Kate latest release of eyeshadow! Kate Reflect mirror Eyes~

It’ll be available from November onwards, with a RM52 price tag, not too bad aye? Slightly cheaper than Diamond Cut, now that I think of it, I have one brand new Diamond Cut LE palette that’s not been used yet

How I wish we can also get the new release of Green palette (or was it not?) from the Deep Trap line

And last but not least…

We have something new from Fasio… after their last release of new eyeshadows and lipsticks which was rather quiet~

This is also rather new and yours truly actually played with it already in Singapore. My thoughts? Good to have if you are a beginner, nice to have if you want to collect, but if you are a budget, these may not be your best pick, because without the eyeshadow base, it does seem a little blah, though the I am tempted to get the green quad Decent price tag at RM42.90

I’ll be featuring more of magazine scans like this if anyone wants it~ Just holler and let me know, I basically have the latest issue of Vivi, Choc, Popteen, S Cawaii, Cawaii (until July 2009) and Beauty and each of them are bought and kept and treasured by me~ By the way, they are all in Taiwan edition, JP edition is a little too costly for me and I can’t read much Japanese now

Toodles and have a great weekend!

p/s: Beauty Credit is open in Sunway Pyramid too! Around Asian Avenue area!

Finally, I get to enjoy my weekend! At least half of it

Woke up on Saturday morning just to find out that I need to make a few calls for the Monday event. Grrrr! Can’t people just leave me alone for the weekend? >_<

Anyway, it upset me a little but not that much. Went to Sunway to get my brows done (way overdue!) and maybe… a little shopping?

Hauls to be shown later.

But for today’s post, I’m gonna show you girls new stuff!

Pictures are all taken from Cleo (Malaysia) March issue.

ZA Wide Eyes Mascara

Not out in Watson or Guardian yet, but I think it should be out by March. Their Cutie Curl mascara has been selling quite well, and now, a new comb mascara! Hm… it reminds me of MJ’s mascara, you know Giving that both ZA and MJ are under Shiseido’s wing, I think it maybe their tactic to help boost ZA’s sale, they haven’t been lauching any new makeup product for quite a bit.

Lash Beautifying Mascara Frame Plus

Wee! New mascara! I adore MJ’s previous version, Lash Expander Neo or known as Lash Beautifying mascara, so I do hope this is as good as it is! But I checked reviews around and saw the reviews were rather… 2 sided. Some said it made their eyelashes go droopy, while some said it didn’t. But overall, most reviewers said that MJ’s Lash Expander Neo is better than the latest one. Hm… I will still buy it just though, because it’s MJ! LOL! I also heard MJ’s Lash Expander Neo will be discontinued, so… I am rather sad. If you girls need to stock up, better do it quick! Right now, Sunway and Midvalley is OOS!

Blink Glitter Eyeliner

Silkygirl has been rather quiet lately, and when I saw this, I just go hm… What’s this? Anyway, it’s a liquid eyeliner with fine glitters. I don’t know how fine is fine, but since it’s still not on the racks, I’m feeling rather curious.

CelLucent Fairness

I’m grabbing this as soon as it comes out! LOl. The packaging caught my eye honestly :p I like the simplicity and the greenish jar, which screams “buy me!” all the way! LOL. Damn, I hope this won’t be too expensive. By the way, i love Total Effects too!

White Perfect pearl Liquid Foundation

I’ve never tried Loreal’s foundation, as I couldn’t get a good match. Maybe I didn’t know which to pick. >_< Anyway, I find this foundation's claim to be rather similar with Maybelline's AngelLift Liquid Foundation, as both claimed that they have this pearl thingy in it to boost radiance and etc etc etc. Might check this out when it's in stores, but i don't have much hope for this. Don't know why.

Maybelline Clear Smooth Minerals

Traclyn alerted me about this (thanks darling!), and I thought I should keep this in mind. So I went to Sasa to give this a check, and I’m quite happy with the texture of the powder, quite silky and fine, and rather smooth too.

But the colours were either too dark or too yellow, horrible! >_< And with only 6 colours available, it's difficult to get the perfect colour match. So far, only the lightest colour, Very Light Ochre, fits me the most. :)

End of reporting, up next, hauls!

It’s been so long, that i nearly forgot about the contouring post.

I’m not one who does a lot of contouring, but it’s one the fastest way to make you have a slimmer face, higher nosebridge, a more defined face structure etc…

Anyway, I took the following pictures from Mina (Malaysia) February 2009 issue.

Simple basic steps of contouring.

For Step 1 in the picture, use any highlighter of your choice, but from my experience, find something with very fine shimmers and make sure it doesn’t settle into your pores, giving you the greasy look.

For fair skin, you can use light pinkish/ white/ beige highlighters. For medium skintone, stick with beige-goldenish colours. I think those colours flatter medium skintone better than pink/ white, as those may look too garish. For dark skintones, bronzers! All of these are just my opinion though. You will still need to test the colours out to see which suits you best

Highlighting the T-zone is not really recommended for oily skins, as it will look even greasier comparing to no highlights. But if you pick your product well, it won’t be a problem!

For the application, just lightly brush your highlighter over the T-zone and you are set! Don’t go OTT that’s all!

For Step 2, pick a bronzy brown colour, or any colour which is matte and is slightly darker than your skintone. The reason why it should be matte is because your highlighter is kinda shimmery, and you don’t want risk it by looking like a disco ball right? Follow the area highlighted in the picture to contour.

And there you go, a more define nosebridge and facial structure!

For a slimmer face, use any bronzy brown blusher or any powder which is slightly darker than your skintone which is matte and then follow the arrows on contouring the face.

The reason that you contour starting from the outside sweeping into the inside, is that it will look more natural comparing to you sweeping it from inside out. If the lines are too noticeable, remember to blend it well!

Not everyone is blessed with a sharp nose, so what to do with a big fat nose? Contouring! Ahahah! Lame.

Anyway, use a bronzy brown/ colour that’s slightly darker than your skintone and is matte, and gently brush it on the side of your nose, like the picture indicated. Don’t do too much, otherwise it will look fake. You don’t want that, right?

There you go! Simple basic contouring that even beginners can get it right! Bear in mind that highlighter should be slightly shimmery, while your contouring colour should always be MATTE, unless you know how to work a shimmery one perfectly well without looking like a disco ball!

If you got more tips about contouring, do share them okay!

If you people noticed, I’m a bit laggy with product reviews. That’s because I DID NOT play with anything new!

Oh well, doesn’t matter.

I’ve got something to share!

I proudly present you…

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 303px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_rbL_oOqyqaY/SUivcDJ8J9I/AAAAAAAAATo/dKd4S2KmblI/s400/File0001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5280663459510101970" />

the FIRST edition of the Malaysian Mina!

Yay!

Okay, I don’t read Mina actually. Why? Because I find it leaning towards fashion and I am not very fashion conscious. So I now got bad dressing taste, that’s why!

But I saw this on the myNEWS.com, and I thought it was weird for it not to be wrapped up like the Japanese/ Taiwanese version. So I flipped through, being a magazine-maniac I am.

And I was like, why are they using local models? That’s weird! They never do!

Only then it hit me! Oh yes! I got news from someone working in the publishing industry telling me quite some time back that there will be a few localized women magazine to be out in the market, and one of them is Mina. I think another one is Ray? I can’t remember.

Anyway, what caught my attention is this:

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 288px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_rbL_oOqyqaY/SUiyDkvHNgI/AAAAAAAAATw/m-VGmpgvFsQ/s400/File0002.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5280666337562539522" />

Makeup on a freckled face!

I think that is just so cool!

Other than normal makeup telling you how to hide them, this in fact embraces them! I like!

Maybe because I have freckles also.

Anyway, here’s the makeup steps for this look:

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 294px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_rbL_oOqyqaY/SUiy_RS_vZI/AAAAAAAAAT4/7EWDxz8y-g4/s400/File0003.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5280667363136486802" />

By the way, all pictures are clickable and are in full size

My view on the magazine?

Even though it’s the localized version of Mina, but I still find it not very localized. The fashion spread for example, most of it are items from Japan, unless you travel to Japan or are staying in Japan, there’s not much point in showing Japanese item in Malaysia’s Mina right?

Makeup section, I’d do say half half. The feature items in Malaysia and also in Japan. I saw them introducing Shiseido Tsubaki, NARS, Jill Stuart etc etc. Which makes me drool, because I simply can’t buy them here!

Retailing at RM9, I think it’s a little expensive for a “local” magazine

But overall, I think it’s quite a good read, because the quality is quite good. It looks like the Taiwanese Mina at first glance, but when look closely, it isn’t!

Ah~ my magazine reading list is growing longer… >_<

And I now need to go fix my craziness over Seiya-kun >_<

p/s: seiya-kun is a character from sailormoon. watashi daisukii seiya-kun!!!
