Sorry girls, last week I totally wasn’t in a mood for blogging. It has been an emotional roller coaster ride and my memory card decided to die around that time. Blasted thing, and I had no backup cards. Anyway, matter resolved and I am back!

So today Blushing Monday’s featured blush is E.L.F Studio Blush in Tickled Pink.

A total NARS dupe from the outside, don’t you think? But much better, because it doesn’t get gooey and sticky due to the hot weather here!

But probably that’s the best part of it.

The blush itself, meh.

Looks like a pretty pink, just right for any girls. The powder is finely milled and it’s smooth.

But.

To get this amount of colour show on my rather fair arms, took me at least 3 swipes. I can’t remember how many swipes I needed, but after blending, the colour DOESN’T. SHOW. AT ALL. Let’s not talk about staying power, shall we?

Why do I want to put a blush on my face when it doesn’t show even after multiple layers? I can’t understand. Oh, I know, maybe I am not fair enough. >_<

Sorry. As much as I would love to love this blush, but it’s just meh and so not worth the USD3 I purchased it for. E.L.F, I think you can do better than this.

Went to look at my Photobucket and saw I have a few stuff that I haven’t posted up.

You girls might have seen it.

Oh well. Doesn’t matter

It seems that Nivea has currently revamp their lotion’s packaging and reformulated their products, or so it seems. Not sure if reformulated is the right word to use or not.

All Nivea body lotions now have berry extract, apart from the normal licorice extracts. If you ask me, the top 2 body lotions are the same. You label both of them slightly different, and hey, it’s a different thing! Maybe for cooler countries, there is a difference, but Malaysia, sunny all year round and we are more or less exposed to sun like nuts, so I guess most probably everyone will be taking the Extra Whitening Nothing much to say about the Night Whitening though. Haha!

I used countless bottle of Nivea body lotion and I must say, they kept my skin fairly properly moisturized and I didn’t get much darker

Spotted this at Guardian along with Johnson’s Soothing Naturals.

I do notice ever since I stopped working in Midvalley, I haven’t been spying on new stuff long time already

On a side not, I have been a fairly good girl upholding my makeup/ skincare ban till August 1. It’s a great achievement for me, to be honest!

So, I decided to reward myself a wee bit.

I got a reminder from TBS stating that my points are expiring so I thought I’d jump at the chance of purchasing the one thing I had fallen in love long time ago… which is…..

Yummy-licious African Spa Wisdom Body Scrub! I know it’s expensive, but it’s such a huge jar! I love it to bits! Shall do a dedicated post/ review on it And the olive shower gel, gotten it on a whim! You know how much I love my bathing/ pampering sessions

Doesn’t it look rich and creamy and oh-so-fabulous?

Bathing time are my skin pampering time!

Updates: I spied new stuff on ELF!

See!!!!

Awesome-ness!

Sorry for the long absence, enjoying myself like a squirrel eating lots and lotsa free nuts like there’s no tomorrow. *oops, i sound weird here*

Am reviewing a product I have actually used quite a fair bit and time to give it a review. Well, lotsa products I should be reviewing, but uh, let’s just say, I don’t feel like writing them… yet.

I noticed there isn’t a lot of reviews for this particular concealer and there isn’t a lot of good swatches around either. But I maybe mistaken, since I have not search much on it ever since I placed an order with Ryan aka SgDrugstore in LYN like a couple of months back.

I was first introduced to this concealer by Chris and she told me it’s good. Trusting her (she’s a MUA okay!), I decided to placed an order. She’s an N30, and told me Light would be the right colour for me since at that time, MAC MA told me I am NC30 (which I think it’s just bullshit right now), I promptly placed an order for Light. And because I had extra $$ to spend, I bought Fair too!

And in the end, well, I am not an NC30 and Light didn’t suit me as much as I thought it would and so, Light went to Chris. I forgot to take a picture of it or swatched it before selling it to Chris. But it’s a salmon-y peach colour, very different than Fair.

Conceal and heal your acne with on the spot treatment. The medicated formula has active Salicylic Acid & Tea Tree Oil to clear blemishes and reduce scarring. The soft taklon bristle brush aids in creating a natural looking coverage under or over makeup so blemishes disappear and your true beauty shines through.

Use the “conceal” side of the pencil to cover up any unwanted blemishes or imperfections. Use the “blend” brush to work the formula into the skin to create a beautiful and even coverage.

Active Ingredient: Salicylic Acid 2%

Inactive Ingredients: Synthetic Beeswax, Microcrystalline Wax, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Paraffinium Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Isopropyl Myristate,, Petrolatum, Mica, Melaleuca Altenifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil BHT, Benzyl Alcohol, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Iron Oxides (CI 77491 CI 77492 CI 77499), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891).

Taken from ELF’s website.

It’s a beige-y yellow, which looks a bit like my EDM Matte Foundation in Light. It is a little dry, but hm, a few quick draws on my hands soften it and becomes slightly creamier and easier to blend in. It does conceal pretty well for freckles and pimples. It does cancel the redness too!

Here’s proof!

See how the redness is gone? I only dab a wee bit on the pimple, blend it in, and voila! Done! It does a better job in concealing pimples IF your pimple is headless, in my opinion. But nevertheless, it does a pretty amazing job ya?

Comes with a cap which doubles as a sharpener and also a built in synthetic brush. The brush is dense enough and it does help in blending the concealer, but I always go back to using my fingers and placed it over the spot that I have concealed with the concealer and brush, so that the warmth from my fingers would blend it in better. Nothing beats the fingers!

I do like this concealer very much since it’s travel-friendly and does the job well, but I think it’s rather dry for the under eyes. Not creamy enough. I think I like liquid or cream better for my eyes. But for pimples, this is quite good

It’s available in 3 colours, Fair, Light & Medium. Sold for USD3 or RM15/16 if you purchase it from Ryan aka SgDrugstore.

You know, Connie and Carmen among others out there call me the crazy-but-lazy-makeup-collector. Hey, that somehow rhymes!

Anyway, I just wanted to share my view on ELF Healthy Bronzing Powders.

Not just only Luminance, but Warm Tan and Sun Kissed too! Complete with a simple swatch!

Is it a yay or nay from me? Read on!

I’ve tried to capture the shades as accurately as possible, and this is the closest match to what I see with my own eyes.

As you can see,Luminance is the lightest among all three. It’s a pretty peach gold colour. A totally lovely highlight colour, especially for those who have slightly tan to tan skins. Even fairer girls can pull this off, just be light handed.

As for Warm Tan, I can’t wear it on my face. Too dark. It’s a pretty chocolatey brown with hints of gold in it. Shimmery as well too. I’ll be using this as my eyeshadow, maybe as a bronzer if I get tan, which I highly doubt so. I’ll figure out a way to make it work somehow!

Sun Kissed is a very flattering colour, it can be used as a blusher or a highlighter or as an eyeshadow! It’s a really uber sweet shimmery peach-pink-gold colour! Reminds me of Stila’s Kitten!

The colours are pretty, and it’s really cheap! Hey, it’s only USD1! What’s there not to like?

But no, I dislike a few parts of it. Three parts to be exact.

First, the powder is packed too loosely. Just a light swipe and you see ‘dust’ flying all over. Ugh. Wastage.

Second, the packaging sucks! It’s pretty hard to open, and I nearly broke my nails trying to get it open! I felt like I was doing arm wrestling!

Third, I have rather large pores (blame the oily skin) and if I don’t do my base properly, it settles into my pores making them looking bloody obvious. So unless I have foundation on, I won’t be using these powders.

And that concludes my thoughts.

And the ingredient list!

Do you have these powders? Or any powder highlighters or bronzers you think I should know?

Share your thoughts with me!

And because it was raining heavily just now, so I did a super simple + quick FOTD.

Avon Mousse Blusher – good pigmentation, creamy and smooth. Easy to blend. I use 2 swipes per cheek.

Avon Mousse Eyeshadow in Smooth Peach – Very sheer. Colour can be hardly seen even though layer a few times. Creamy and smooth. Easy to blend. No creasing.

Avon Mousse Eyeshadow in Velvet Taupe - Pigmentation is better than Smooth Peach. Creamy and smooth. Easy to blend. No creasing.

Avon True Luminous Liquid Foundation in Beige Ochre – matches my skintone quite well, coverage sheer to medium. Not drying. Easy to blend.

Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Neo – Lenghtens very well! Did not make my lashes droopy. It seems like it volumizes a little too. Not clumpy.

MAD Indelible Waterproof Gel Line in Marcasite – a beautiful grayish blue with slight hint of shimmer. Waterproof. A little dry but still okay.

Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer in CIA - colour a little too light, but blendable. Feels a little creamy

ELF Super Glossy Lip Shine SPF15 in Watermelon – Good pigmentation, not sticky, looks natural on the lips.
