For ladies who have always wanted them, now’s your chance to grab them! I don’t know where the stores would be, but my guess would be places like Gardens, Pavillion and 1Utama. Just my guess, not sure ya know.

Price range is along counter brand prices, if not mistaken something like Maquillage or Lunasol range, but that again, I am not sure if anyone knows, do let me know?

Updates: Eye palettes is RM110, available in 4 colours: blue, purple and 2 shades of brown.

Single eyeshadow RM33, Eyeshadow case RM39 (can fit in 2 eyeshadow)comes in 16 colours? I think so.

Blushers comes in 4 colours, very common nothing outstanding, lipgloss in 6 colours I think. I’ll update if I have any information

How I wish we can also get the new release of Green palette (or was it not?) from the Deep Trap line

And last but not least…

We have something new from Fasio… after their last release of new eyeshadows and lipsticks which was rather quiet~

This is also rather new and yours truly actually played with it already in Singapore. My thoughts? Good to have if you are a beginner, nice to have if you want to collect, but if you are a budget, these may not be your best pick, because without the eyeshadow base, it does seem a little blah, though the I am tempted to get the green quad Decent price tag at RM42.90

I’m keeping this entry rather short, won’t be doing much colour description since the picture pretty much says all of it and it’s rather easy to get your hands on this.

This is a rather neutral warm palette. I would have give this palette a miss if it was just plain brown BUT I did not.

Why?

The answer lies in the colour number 5. It’s a beautiful sorta mossy brownish green, which you can use it to line your eyes for the day or smoked up the eyes for a glam night out!

It’s a really pretty colour, rather than using blacks, greys and browns all the time when it comes to lining your eyes.

By the way, I used only colour 1,4 and 5 for my Lazy Vacation FOTD. I used a little bit more of 5 for the night.

And if you are lazy, simple swipe colour 1 all over your eyelids and put a little of number 4 over your crease and blend. You get a simple bronzy eye makeup! It’s quite a fool and failproof palette, if you ask me

Lasting power is quite standard for Kate’s pallete, didn’t smudge or fade for about 5 hours. And that’s without an eye primer/ base. And the colour payoff is pretty good, no? At least for the darker colours.

Retailing around RM48 and often goes on discount, this is definitely a lovely palette!

And I was in Sabah for a short vacation. I look horrible!

How can this happen? And I got a wedding dinner to attend!

Makeup to the rescue!

i looked much better, but why do i still look blank? 

Complexion is much more even, fresher looking, but uh, I think my dark circles are horrible! Oh wait, did I pat concealer under my eyes? Or is it the lighting? Because my other pictures sure don’t show it that badly! >_<>

I love the sunlight! The natural lighting just make picture taking a breeze!

The colours are rather accurate, I don’t need flash, it doesn’t wash me out, and I actually look so much prettier! *ahem ahem* Ignore that.

And my new love is Kate Deep Trap Eyes in BR-2! It’s just lovely! Good for day and night! Pictures taken are for the day look. For the night look which I didn’t take a picture of, I simply just used the crease colour and line my lower lash line with it. And a simple smokey eye is done! And the best part, I didn’t need black colour to do the smokey eye! The green is just gorgeous! The best thing, it didn’t crease or fade much! I love it! By the way, out of the 5 colours, I used only 3 colours. Shall review this palette soon! It’s just so PRETTY!

Okay, I lied when I said I am not writing much

Kate foundation is lightweight and offers rather good coverage, and it does brighten up the face! The Avon concealer is creamy and easy to blend, coverage is quite okay too.

I used Red Cheeks for the day and Glow for the night. Reason is being my eye makeup for the day is very simple and natural so I want a rosy glow, while for the night my eyes are stronger and I amplified my lips with a touch of Plum Orchid on top of Rimmel’s lipstick, so I wanted a more natural colour on the cheeks. I can’t be putting on heavy makeup on eyes, lips and cheeks, can I? That would be what we call makeup disaster! LOL!

This particular Rimmel lipstick that I use is not that moisturizing, or maybe it’s because my lips are so dry and chappy, so it looks a little awful. So I used my trusty Shu Uemura lip serum to smoothen and moisturize my lips and voila!, the lipstick stays on better and no more ugly flaky lips! The colour is a pretty pinky-red on me, which is quite natural and it makes me look fresh!

I will always want to do FOTDs in the mornings! Because that’s when pictures taken during that time are the most accurate and also requires least work to edit!

And honestly, I love the pictures taken this time! What say you girls?

Why: NYX rouge cream blushers are pigmented, soft, creamy and easy to blend. Long lasting too. Origins Pinch Your Cheeks is quite cheap and long lasting. Majolica Majorca blusher is pigmented and smooth.

Eyes

Eye primer/ base: Urban Decay Primer Potion, Too Faced Shadow Insurance

Why: They really do what they claim to do! Downside: A little expensive and not available in Malaysia.

Single eyeshadow: Majolica Majorca

Why: Pigmented and smooth. Better quality than the palettes IMO.

Eyeshadow palette: Kate Deep Trap Eyes, Shu Uemura Midnight Sakura from Mika Holiday 2008 Collection

Why: Gorgeous colours! And definitely worth the money!

Gel liner: Coastal Scents gel liners, Shiseido Maquillage gel liners

Why: Smooth, creamy, hardly budge. Maquillage is easily available here, but not CS.

Pencil eyeliner: Secret pencil eyeliner, Silkygirl Funky Eye Lights

Why: Secret is cheap and the black is dark enough, though it smudges a little. Silkygirl comes in a lot of fun colours and are easy to use! Cheap too!

Mascara base: Kate

Mascara: Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Neo, Kiss Me Heroine Make mascaras, ZA Cutie Curl(Long Lash)

Why: MJ is well known for it’s mascara, need I say more?

Lips

Lipstick: Avon Ultra Moisture Rich

Why: Smooth, creamy, pigmented! And cheap!

Lipgloss: Cynthia Rowley for Avon LE lipgloss, Majolica Majorca Honey Pump Gloss, Rimmel Vinyl Stars/ Vinyl lipgloss, Rimmel Shock lipgloss

Why: Rimmel lipglosses are quite cheap and not sticky. Has quite a sweet smell. The colours are lovely too.

Close up on Kate Deep Trap Eyes in BU-1

The colours are pretty pigmented and smooth. Not chalky. A little gritty, but it’s acceptable. I like this palette a lot!

Swatches:

I love the Avon lipstick! It’s smooth and creamy! It’s a blue tone rose red, which contains gold shimmers in it which is so pretty! Ah~ I love this shade! Perfect for a girl’s night out!

It’s pretty pigmented, so I use a lip brush to swipe it on my lips

The CS gel liner is creamy! I like it! ^_^ The colour looks like a dark blue in the pot, but in real life, on my hands and eyes, it’s leaning a little towards a purplish blue. Very very pretty if you ask me

And as for Kate, my favourite shade is D. The blue is really nice, and as a base, team up with the CS liner, it’s a nice simple eye makeup! Ah!

Hideous? I myself think the look is not very pretty.

Sigh. Need to buck up on my skills!

I’ve got new stuff to share!

Kate’s Fall 2008 Collection is here in Watsons Midvalley!

BR-1 features brown tones, a very neutral palette. Boring, but safe IMO.
BU-1, blue tones with a little mix of black. Very similar to BU-1 of Glam Trick series.

This GY-1 is not the same as the Line Spicy N GY-1. This has a little more brown in it, while the Line Spicy N GY-1 is more towards greys and blacks.

BR-2 is my favourite of the lot! Brown with a little green, I like the mix!

The one and only palette which I don’t mind having. Somehow, it’s not very appealing to me. Perhaps it’ll be better if the purple were more purple instead of it being a little too pinky.

Above are Deep Trap Eyes palettes. Colours in picture are the same (if I may say so) as in real life. I’ve swatched them, but my camera couldn’t show the swatches nicely >_< and the guard was looking at me as if I am going to steal them! >_< The colours are pretty pigmented. And of course shimmery too! It's retailing for RM48, but there's a 10% discount going on, so go and take a look and see if you like them :)

They also have the Wax Mascara, but I haven’t seen the new lipsticks around. Maybe it’s not brought in or perhaps to be seen a little later.

As we all know, Kate has been slow in putting on new releases. But maybe due to Shiseido has brought in MJ, a fierce competitor, that they are feeling a little pressure that they have to do something?

I’m definitely hoping that new releases are here faster in the future! And of course, new makeup and skincare brand too!

Kate’s counter has not been updated for the longest time ever. Same old boring stuff. Same old things that once OOS, it’s never been back at the counter.

Yesterday just before I go home after work, I saw new Kate counters!

Avon Mousse Blusher – good pigmentation, creamy and smooth. Easy to blend. I use 2 swipes per cheek.

Avon Mousse Eyeshadow in Smooth Peach – Very sheer. Colour can be hardly seen even though layer a few times. Creamy and smooth. Easy to blend. No creasing.

Avon Mousse Eyeshadow in Velvet Taupe - Pigmentation is better than Smooth Peach. Creamy and smooth. Easy to blend. No creasing.

Avon True Luminous Liquid Foundation in Beige Ochre – matches my skintone quite well, coverage sheer to medium. Not drying. Easy to blend.

Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Neo – Lenghtens very well! Did not make my lashes droopy. It seems like it volumizes a little too. Not clumpy.

MAD Indelible Waterproof Gel Line in Marcasite – a beautiful grayish blue with slight hint of shimmer. Waterproof. A little dry but still okay.

Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer in CIA - colour a little too light, but blendable. Feels a little creamy

ELF Super Glossy Lip Shine SPF15 in Watermelon – Good pigmentation, not sticky, looks natural on the lips.

Kate Line Spicy N in GY-1

Top left: Medium tone silverish shimmery grey
Top middle: Light silverish shimmery grey, more towards silver actually
Bottom middle: Blackish grey with shimmers
Bottom right: Blackish brown with shimmers

As usual, Kate’s eyeshadow palettes are always shimmery, and this is one of them. It’s shimmery-ness is not as strong as Glam Trick(will review it soon) or Dual Carat but not as subtle as the older Line Spicy which I have reviewed before.

Texture is smooth, more or less like the old Line Spicy, but in this case, it feels more powdery than the old version. The old version feels a little bit more creamy than powdery, while this is more of a powdery feeling.

Staying power on my super oily lids I would it has done pretty well. There were almost no creasing and almost no fading after wearing from 6pm to 5am, great isn’t it?:) At least to me this is acceptable. Those who have dry lids shouldn’t be experiencing this problem, but for those like me, it’s best to prep and prime your lids so the staying power is better.

Colour payoff is actually better than the older Line Spicy. Even for the lighter colours, one swipe and pretty much of the colour shows, unlike the older ones.

What else am I lacking? Oh yeah, colour wise, it’s the usual Kate colour, nothing much to shout about. GY-1 is nice for a nice smokey look for day wear, pair it with Glam Trick BK-1 for a night outings, I think it’ll look fabulous! But other than GY-1, the other colours are very similar to the other palettes from Kate. If you own a lot of Kate’s palettes, then you will know how similar they are.

But overall, it’s a pretty palette, although the colours don’t really interest me as much. It’s replacing Line Spicy, so for those who has been hesitating to try it, do go and buy the old ones because it’s still available right now! Once it’s gone, it’s gone. 1 or 2 of the colour combos from the older Line Spicy like the purple, brown and gold and pink are not available in the new palette, so be sure to check them out!

The top most: Shimmery orange colour with light yellowish particles
Left triangle: Shimmery white
Right triangle: Shimmery champagne gold with light yellowish particles
Bottom: Shimmery dark blackish brown

The top most: Shimmery grey
Left triangle: Shimmery off white, a bit of a beige-y colour
Right triangle: Shimmery purple, with a blue undertone
Bottom: Shimmery dark blackish brown

This 2 palettes are shimmery, but not over the top. In my opinion, it’s a great palette for those casual days or for work. I don’t quite like matte shadows, the number of matte shadows are close to 0, if not mistaken.

The shadows look as though it’s cream shadows but actually they really are just powder shadows. They go on smoothly and feels quite silky. Nothing too rough, if compare to Dual Carat. Their texture, in my opinion is much better than Dual Carat.

Colour pay off for both palettes are good enough, if based on their price. Do not compare with higher end stuff, it’s just not right! The lighter colours tend to be a bit too light and have to put on a few layers for the colour to show, but for the darker colours, the colours shows quite well!

In case you are wondering whether it creases or not, well, if you are hoping a “no” for an answer, then you’ll be disappointed, because it does, but it’s minimal. I have super oily lids so I don’t complain much if it creases, but the point is that it creases really little! How can I complain?

The colour faded just a wee bit after one whole day of wearing it and running up and down in hot humid weather! So no complains from me!

For the price I pay, it’s a great product with 4 pretty colours that can be used alone or paired up differently according to your mood and outfit that day.

I’v also got this in PK-1 and BR-3! Haven’t tried those 2 though. Will update when I do

But my saddest part about Line Spicy is they discontinued the ever so pretty BR-2 and I can’t find any PU-1! Sad isn’t it!
