Brushes: The Bad & The Good Part I

If you have read it, then scroll down for Part II!

6. Everyday Minerals Long Handled Kabuki
7. La Mei La Kabuki
8. Coastal Scents Pink Kabuki
9. Elianto Angled Blusher brush
10. Posh White Angle Blush brush
11. Posh Blush brush

Everyday Minerals Long Handled Kabuki is another famous brush. It’s softness and density is just like the Flat Top brush. Pretty nice to use as a powder brush, or even as a blusher brush. But honestly, this brush isn’t necessary. I think it’s a better option to get the Flat Top and save RM38 on this. It’s available for purchase in Lovingminerals.com and don’t go OOS as fast as the Flat Top.

La Mei La Kabuki brush is one the CHEAPEST brush I’ve ever bought! It’s soft, and not scratchy! And the best part, I got it cheap! It’s a really sweet deal! The density is not as great as EDM Flat Top or Long Handled Kabuki, but it’s a nice brush to use as a powder brush. And the cute compact size is just great for travelling! I use this brush with my Chacott loose powder.

I really don’t quite like this Pink Kabuki. It’s dense. It’s soft. But, it’s a little scratchy. I don’t know if I got a faulty brush or what, since the review for this are quite good. Maybe I gotten used to really soft and non scratchy brushes like EDM Flat Top/ Long Handled Kabuki/ La Mei La kabuki, so I am expecting this to be as soft/ not scratchy like those. Good to use as a finishing powder brush. It’s really small and compact, and it’s pink! Good for travelling too!

This Elianto Angled Blusher brush is one of my first brushes. It has worked perfectly well for as long as I can remember. It doesn’t shed, nor does it bleed. It has serve its purpose well for the price I bought. It’s soft, and dense enough to be used as a blusher brush. Only one thing though, it’s a little scratchy. I never really noticed this, until I started buying other brushes. So, with better options out there, it’s okay to give this a miss. However, if you find it is difficult to get other brushes, then buy this if you don’t mind a little scratchiness and of course, comparing it with the other brushes, the price is on the cheap side. The brush is made of pony’s hair, if not mistaken. I can’t quite remember.

Posh White Angle blush brush’s function is exactly the same as Elianto’s Angled blush brush, except this is smaller when compared, softer and not scratchy as Elianto’s. It didn’t shed nor bleed, but it’s not available in Malaysia. I got my CS and Posh brushes from Ryan aka SgDrugstore in Lowyat.net.

Posh Blush brush is slightly smaller than the Angled Blush brush. It’s soft, not scratchy and rather dense. Picks up colour quite well and blends quite nicely. I like to use this to do contouring. I know I sound weird using this as a contour brush, but uh, it works! Haha! I use my brushes for various reasons though it was never meant to be used that way! Both of the Posh brushes are made of natural hair, but what kind of natural hair, I have no idea.

Honestly, I would recommend getting Posh brushes as there are some really good reviews on them! I got them when they had the 50% off, so it’s a steal! ^_^ I am itching to try out a few of their other brushes. Tee hee~

My brush collection is growing, I know it!

The final post on eyeshadow and eyeliner brush to be up pretty soon! ^_^

A lovely, lovely parcel for me!!!!

Actually I got it on Tuesday. But I totally forgot to blog about it.

Nevermind. Better late than never blog right?

And here’s the parcel… unwrapped!

I took this picture at home, after I finish work. I can’t be showing everyone in the office my loot right? That’d be insane!

Hee~

I got myself 3 brushes. The left one is from Coastal Scents, the Deluxe Buffer brush. I tested it on the back of my hand and it’s soft, not scratchy and not pokey at all. And there’s no strong smell, just a little which I can ignore.

The 2 brushes are from Posh. Both of them comes with a black velvet pouch, which just scream “ELEGANT!” all the way. Anyway, the black hair brush is a blush brush, which is soft, not scratchy or pokey. It’s quite tiny in size, comparing with my other brushes. I haven’t tried using it with blushers, so I can’t say how will it perform.

And the white hair one is the angled blush brush. I know I am crazy to buy so many blusher brush. But for me, it’s a staple! I can never have too many blusher brushes because it’s the one brush I use each and everytime I make up! Anyway, first glance it looks scratchy and pokey. But it’s rubbish. It feels just like the black one. But can’t say how it will perform with blushers

And yes, I splurge on Urban Decay’s Ammo Primer Set, which the rectangular thingy holds 10 eyeshadow shades from Urban Decay and including a FULL size Urban Decay Primer Potion! Woot! Good loot I say!

And to finish this off, I also bought Urban Decay 24/7 Concealer in CIA. I just had to get this because Izzy said it’s good and so I got it!

I haven’t got time to wash the brushes nor test the colours and stuff, so it will have to wait till this weekend for me to clean and test them. If everything goes well, a review on them should be out in a week or two. Erm… maybe three?

I have so many things to review, and my list keeps piling T_T Blame me or my work, which leaves me like half dead each time I go home.

I bought everything from Ryan aka sgDrugstore in Lowyat.net. Sprees are quite frequent, so just keep an eye on it. Or should I notice you girls when there’s a spree going on?

Let me know!

Shall sign off for now. Toodles!
