ELF Studio Concealer Pencil & Brush in Fair
Sorry for the long absence, enjoying myself like a squirrel eating lots and lotsa free nuts like there’s no tomorrow. *oops, i sound weird here*
Am reviewing a product I have actually used quite a fair bit and time to give it a review. Well, lotsa products I should be reviewing, but uh, let’s just say, I don’t feel like writing them… yet.
I noticed there isn’t a lot of reviews for this particular concealer and there isn’t a lot of good swatches around either. But I maybe mistaken, since I have not search much on it ever since I placed an order with Ryan aka SgDrugstore in LYN like a couple of months back.
I was first introduced to this concealer by Chris and she told me it’s good. Trusting her (she’s a MUA okay!), I decided to placed an order. She’s an N30, and told me Light would be the right colour for me since at that time, MAC MA told me I am NC30 (which I think it’s just bullshit right now), I promptly placed an order for Light. And because I had extra $$ to spend, I bought Fair too!
And in the end, well, I am not an NC30 and Light didn’t suit me as much as I thought it would and so, Light went to Chris.
I forgot to take a picture of it or swatched it before selling it to Chris. But it’s a salmon-y peach colour, very different than Fair.
Conceal and heal your acne with on the spot treatment. The medicated formula has active Salicylic Acid & Tea Tree Oil to clear blemishes and reduce scarring. The soft taklon bristle brush aids in creating a natural looking coverage under or over makeup so blemishes disappear and your true beauty shines through.
Use the “conceal” side of the pencil to cover up any unwanted blemishes or imperfections. Use the “blend” brush to work the formula into the skin to create a beautiful and even coverage.
Active Ingredient: Salicylic Acid 2%
Inactive Ingredients: Synthetic Beeswax, Microcrystalline Wax, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Paraffinium Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Isopropyl Myristate,, Petrolatum, Mica, Melaleuca Altenifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil BHT, Benzyl Alcohol, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Iron Oxides (CI 77491 CI 77492 CI 77499), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891).
Taken from ELF’s website.
It’s a beige-y yellow, which looks a bit like my EDM Matte Foundation in Light. It is a little dry, but hm, a few quick draws on my hands soften it and becomes slightly creamier and easier to blend in. It does conceal pretty well for freckles and pimples. It does cancel the redness too!
Here’s proof!
See how the redness is gone? I only dab a wee bit on the pimple, blend it in, and voila! Done! It does a better job in concealing pimples IF your pimple is headless, in my opinion. But nevertheless, it does a pretty amazing job ya?
Comes with a cap which doubles as a sharpener and also a built in synthetic brush. The brush is dense enough and it does help in blending the concealer, but I always go back to using my fingers and placed it over the spot that I have concealed with the concealer and brush, so that the warmth from my fingers would blend it in better. Nothing beats the fingers!
I do like this concealer very much since it’s travel-friendly and does the job well, but I think it’s rather dry for the under eyes. Not creamy enough. I think I like liquid or cream better for my eyes. But for pimples, this is quite good
It’s available in 3 colours, Fair, Light & Medium. Sold for USD3 or RM15/16 if you purchase it from Ryan aka SgDrugstore.

Oooo, thanks for the review! I’m glad it conceals pimples so well!
S Cawaii? I have never thought of reading it lol! Is it good? What is its main feature?

Hey plue!
I came across this site selling Kate cosmetics for cheaper. Do you think it’s legit? http://www.4allbeauty.com.my/shop2/
15 % off Diamond Cut Eyes palettes… I feel like buying hahaha

Blair: It’s like Cawaii, but for a more mature audience, but not too mature either. Tee hee. 4allbeauty.com is legit I think, cuz whenever there are Kate’s ads on magz n newspapers, those small fine line of words at the bottom page contains places where u can buy Kate, and this website is one of them
15% off for Kate Diamond is tempting, BUT if you plan to purchase this alone den it won’t be worth it, since shipping is around RM5 and if u add up, it’s the same like buying in stores. hehe.
Nikki: Their products are quite nice actually, and reasonably priced too! Redness is gone, but the bump isn’t
Pretty: You sampat la!!!!
