Hello people, am sorry for the lack of updates. *cough cough* Been a bit busy with some things going on in life. :D

Cutting a long story short, am reviewing Bourjois blushers! :D

They are my new love! *move aside MAC!*

Tee hee! I like the fact they colour the packaging, so I don’t need to run through my whole existing mini blush drawer for the colours I want. Easy for me to grab what I want and get out of the house!

It comes with a dome shape brush which you can bin. It’s not scratchy, but not functional for me. Read on to know more bout the brush!

Scary huh Rouge Bonne Mine? Well, it is. I tried using it with the dome shaped brush, and left a STREAK on my face! I couldn’t salvage it by blending it, so I had to pat on some powder to lighten it, I didn’t have time to remove it and do it all over since I need to go to work already :( So, throw the dome shaped brush and use your own brush!

The next try I used Posh blush brush, both angled and the normal one. It picks up the powder well, but couldn’t blend it well. It’s a little patchy and the finish isn’t what I’m looking for. :( I had no problems with my other blushes when I used this 2 brushes, so it might be because I was using fairly sheer blushes most of the time, so the not-very-well-blended look isn’t that obvious.

But, I found Bourjois her new best friend, the useless CS Fiber Duo Stippling Brush! I hated CS Fiber Duo because it didn’t work for me as a MAC187 dupe, hence I now own 2 MAC187! RM360 down the drain plus another RM30 for CS. >_<

However, I decided to try my luck with CS and Bourjois, and voila! A good combination indeed! Rouge Bonne Mine isn’t that hard to blend anymore and gives me a pretty flush! Minus the streaks and patches and what nots! Now CS isn’t that useless anymore! At least I know it works well with really pigmented blushers.

Because it’s pigmented, lasting power is great! I wore this from 7am and till 1pm, the blush is still there, though it fades a little. :D Great aye! The price tag isn’t too friendly for such a small amount, but then if you think of the pigmentation and colour payoff, it’s actually not too bad.

The scent is a little strong, but I am okay with it. Some people don’t, like Connie. :P By the way, Rouge Bonne Mine is a red-purple plummy pink colour, while Rose Ambre is a peach-pink colour. Both are wearable colours as long as you use it light handed and blend them all the way!

Jenn: LOL! MAC is one big headache! Really! Bourjois is pretty, but I wonder what’s the price tag like?.

Lynn: A friend of mine got them for me :)

Pretty: LOL. MAC blushers are okay, I have my complaints bout them, but I shall save it for a post. We all need blushers! Stop telling yourself you don’t! ahahaha!

Just a heads up – they do harden pretty quickly, and after a while, it’ll be rather difficult to scrape out the colour. I had a similar problem with mine. Not that much of a biggie; the colour’s so pretty :)

Tine: Thanks girl! I heard this happens to MAC Mineralized ranges too? And other stuff that’s “baked”?

Steph: Hello! :D Am glad you like the swatches, and yes, Rose Ambre is pretty! Bourjois isn’t available in mine too, have to get it elsewhere :(

    Nikki: Yeah! They sure are!

2nd what Tine said. Use an old toothbrush and brush the surface when it does harden. Makes it easier to pick up colour again. These are some of my favourite blushes too. I had Rose Bonne Mine and a couple more but I gave them away and now I only kept 3 :) They are available in Singapore and you can try Strawberrynet for those wondering how to get hold of them :)

I love Bourjois blush too! The colour is so pigmented ahha but I have to agree the blusher can harden and less colour comes out. I just rub it with a tissue. I would love to try rose ambre

I love this blushes too! I agree they tend to harden after a while and I have to brush the surface with a toothbrush, but the colors are so pigmented and beautiful that I don’t really mind doing that.

Paris: Hee! I think SG is selling them from approx SDG20-30?

Pinky: Tissue will do? I’ll keep that in mind! :D

Gio: LOL! I love me blushers! Bourjois are lovely, if you ask me. And like you, I don’t mind spending a little extra time for stuff I really like!

    rose ambre is so pretty!!

I have 2 bourjois blushers myself. They’re not very ‘blending-friendly’ and can easily leave a streak on the face =.=”
Yet I still use them almost everyday because the colours are SO BEAUTIFUL!

Chian Li: Yeah, not very blending friendly, but use a good brush to blend then it’s ok d~ I had wanted to get more, but the colour selection in SG is so small :(
