Lancome Maquiliquide UV Infinite in BO-015

I have been playing around with Lancome Maquiliquide UV Infinite for a while now, after after experimenting around for a bit, I guess it’s review time.

I got the same shade as Kahani and Bee!

Comes in a frosted glass bottle, which I like (classy!) but I would hate to lug it around for travelling because if it’s glass, it’s easily broken if not handled with care!

I absolutely adore this little detail :D

This is how BO-015 looks like when pumped onto hand :)

It’s very fluid, like water, but slightly thicker than water. It’s very lightweight too! Of course it’s lightweight, since it’s pretty much a water based foundation :) It’s pretty much a beige yellow type of colour which would be okay for my skintone. By the way, I only pump once and the foundation came oozing out! One pump is too much for my face, half the pump work way better.

Even though this is light and it does seem a bit sheer, but don’t let it fool you! It cancels out redness and evens out the skintone really nicely!

Nothing speaks the truth like a picture does, eh?

See how my skintone is evened out? And I just merely use like 1/4 of it for half of my face! Gasp!

However, the wonder stops here.

I would really like to love this foundation to bits, given that it does suit my skintone very well, albeit a little lighter than my neck (but hey, my neck’s 1/2 tone darker than my face!), and how lightweight and sheer but not that sheer the foundie is, but to use this, I need to be very careful on how I apply it and how much I use.

The first time I use it I used one pump, and disastrous I tell you! I look like an oil slick within minutes of applying! And it oxidized on me quite a fair bit too! It’s not glowy or dewy, but plain oily!

Fine. Second time I became smarter, used half a pump, not as bad as my first, but still oil slick I became within minutes. Frustrated, I didn’t know what to do.

And it hit me! I did not use ANY OIL CONTROL makeup base! Which means I didn’t use my trusty Biore sunblock. It’s a staple in my makeup and skincare routine because it does really help in oil control and gives me that clean, matte slightly powdery feeling each time! :P

And then I removed all makeup, re-do everything, but this time slap on some Biore and half a pump of foundie and see how it goes.

I am not so much of an oil slick anymore, it doesn’t oxidized as much as before and behaved quite the way I had wanted the foundation to perform on me. And to prolong the time of my skin secreting sebum, I apply a wee bit of powder on top of the foundie just to set it. And well, I am happy with the foundie now.

Would I be purchasing this? I think I just might, but we’ll see how. 30ml for RM130 isn’t exactly such a happy price for me but since I use so little at a time, a 30ml bottle will last me for ages :)

Available at all Lancome counters and comes in 11 shades! Take your pick!

Before I forget, the ingredient list :)

    Nice review Plue!
I tested it once at Lancome counter and I love it. I can’t afford any more foundations at this rate lol. Maybe when I finish some of my foundations, I’d consider getting this :)
