FOTD: Grey Or Green, Your Call

Another FOTD from me!

This time, a smokey look! I can’t decide if it looks green, or if it look like grey. Jeez.

Well, it wasn’t suppose to be one, but uh, just blame my bad skills in applying eyeshadow which resulted in this!

I was chatting on MSN with Kimoko and my sister, while G Talk with Izzy. I had wanted to do a simple day time look, but uh, I got carried away and it became smokey.

Kimmy said everything is nice, would be better if I lined my eyes, it’ll be sultry and great as a clubbing look. But my eyes, sigh, lining them makes no difference, so I skip :P

She told me my undereyes look dirty, need to clean up those otherwise I look like I have been punched! Well that’s true now looking at it! :D We all learn from mistakes ya! Hopefully, one day I’ll be as good as Connie! She’s the man!

The blush is a little too orange and warm for me in the picture, but IRL it looks fine. Hm, maybe should have used a pink blush instead?

Anyway, I am happiest with my lips! :D Nude lips never look better ever before! Haha!

Off I go polishing my skills with pigments. I’ve never been this hardworking with FOTDs before! Maybe you’ll be seeing more FOTDs from me this few days. Tee hee!

Thanks to my personal tutor aka Kimmy! Muah muah to you!

  1. personally, i seldom draw my undereye area as I always thought it will look dirty and bring more attention to my dark circles… maybe is my bad skill and concealer because I’ve seen a lot of pretty EOTD that can excellent covered their dark circles…

  2. I think the colored ‘area’ is too large. Like Kimmy said, the undereye area is dirty cos I think you colored it too much. It would look much nicer if you just line it with the green color e/s at the outer corner of your lower eye area. And then work your way up from the outer V to the ends of your eye brows, smudging it along the way. Otherwise it will look like you got punched in the eye. Just my opinion~! hehee..You’ll be great at it in no time =)

  3. Hi Plue~! :)

Great effort and attempt on your end! Agree that practice makes perfect when it comes to playing around with eyeshadows. I’m personally too lazy so I just stick with safe colors (no need to blend so thoroughly, ahha) :P

I’m no expert myself, but may I make a few suggestions? Perhaps for the upper lids if you don’t blend the colors all the way up to your eyebrow area (limit it to below the browbone), and if you highlight the inner corners of your eyes with a shimmery silver/white shadow, it would look cleaner? As for the undereyes, hmm, maybe use a thinner brush? And I think for a daytime look some tightlining on upper and lower lids to add definition would be perfect :) Like I said, I’m no expert, just trying to help ^^

Loving your lips and cheeks – such pretty colors that go well together <3

Justina: Thanks for the tip aye! I usually have problems with eyeshadows, and loose pigments aren’t helping! Pressed shadows are usually ok, but still need to perfect it! :P

Well thanks for the comment Melissa. It certainly doesn’t make me feel any better, but neither it has made me down either. Enjoy your stay!
