Heroine Make Mascaras – Plue’s 1st EOTD

Posted by plue | EOTD,eyes,heroine make,mascara | Monday 20 October 2008 12:00 am

As everyone knows, plue is lazy.

But she loves mascaras. And blushers. And lippies.

Usually if she feels the need of dressing up, and if she don’t want foundation and stuff on her face, she goes for these three items.

This is what she had on Saturday.

Nice long lashes eh? Especially the left eye. :D And thanks to Avon eye cream, my dark circles are much lighter than before, almost invisible! *i seriously did not do anything to hide my dark circles with Photoshop*

The lashes on my right eye is not as long as my left is actually because of my eyelids. It’s as long and curled as my left, but because of my darn eyelids, it gets pressed down a little. >_< And the eyelid crease you see on my right, it is there because I curled and mascara-ed my eye! So it was pushed a little and a crease is formed! Albeit a bit not noticeable. :P

I used:

Sana 39mm Eyelash Curler
Kate Mascara Base
Heroine Make Long & Curl, Volume & Curl mascara – reviews are below. :)

I bought this way before MJ came in. And honestly, it’s only RM2 more expensive than MJ, but it delivers good results, just like MJ!

I don’t really need to say much bout this, since from the EOTD you can see how much my lashes are elongated and volumized. :) It doesn’t flake nor smudged on me for the whole afternoon on Saturday. My lashes are still nicely curled like I had them in the early afternoon, even though I had it on for more than 10 hours. And even though Kate Mascara Base is a little difficult to cover entirely with other mascaras I had, but this works like magic and cover every single little white fibers! It’s easily removed with Maybelline’s makeup remover.

The only drawback, it’s a little dry compare to MJ and if used with Kate Mascara Base, it gets a little clumpy. And the packaging is not as glam as MJ. :P

It’s something I’d repurchase, along with MJ! I can live without a mascara base! :P

And the Volume version has much better reviews than MJ’s Lash Enamel Glamour Neo, that’s why I bought this instead of MJ’s volume mascara :P

Heroine Make is not available in Watsons, but available in Sasa. :)

Is mascara base that important? I have never used any before. But, seems to me, everyone uses it before appying the actual black mascara.

I wouldn’t say it’s that important, depends on your preference and mascara. Some mascara don’t really do well on its own, but it works like a charm if it have a base :)

I don’t really bother with a base if my mascara is good enough on its own :)

    Hope this clarifies!

Yeap, smudge and waterproof! I have oily lids, so these stayed well on me. I can’t use anything that’s not waterproof, I’d freak out!
