Anna Sui’s summer collection is aptly named as 2011 Beach Collection, and it’s all about the beach and being a glittering mermaid. Summer’s all about cooling sea breeze and beach, beach and more beach! Unless you decide to travel somewhere cold and snowy to escape the summer heat.
I wear slippers all the time. I hardly wear heels or anything that cover up my feet because it gives me blisters all over. And truth is, slippers are the best way to showcase your pretty toe colours!
Summer Love Jewel Tones; Left: 350 Brilliant Pink, Right: 351 Jewel Aurora Red
Is this even pink? I don’t think so, to me it’s red toe nails!
Though it isn’t exactly red red, much more of a coral red, as it does have a tinge of orange in it, with tiny flecks of pinkish-gold shimmers in it. It isn’t noticeable, unless you squint real hard.
Application was a breeze for a mini bottle, the brush was very easy to use and 2 coats was all it takes to get it opaque, and when it dries, it’s shiny and glossy. Picture above was taken WITHOUT any topcoat. TFS Base coat was applied and no staining issues! Wore perfectly well for about 2 weeks before I removed it to give my nails a breather. By the way, the nail polish is scented with Anna Sui’s signature rose scent, which to me smells a little weird. Maybe I am not used to nicely scented nail polish. LOL.
In this pedicure kit, there’s also this leg mist, which is supposed to cool and refresh your legs. The rose scent is lovely, and it does feel good to give a nice spritz to your legs after a hard day’s work. I like to use this after soaking my legs in a tub of warm water and then spritz this one, and finally put on body lotion. It pretty much acts like a toner, except it’s for the legs.
The problematic bit with this pedicure kit is that it’s limited edition and it’s pricey at RM168. If the price weren’t so steep, I might pick up the other set of pedicure kit which consist of blue-green nail polish.
Anyone know what’s the retail price for the full size bottle of nail polish? I’m hoping that it’s available individually for sale permanently at the counters!

So pretty! Am loving Brilliant Pink (yup it looks red to me too haha) =D
The brushes in mini bottles can be a little iffy to use, am happy to hear that it isn’t so with the Anna Sui polishes
