Etude House 100% Cotton Puffs

I use cotton pads daily.

For my toner, for my makeup removal, for my nail polish, for my brushes… I use them everyday.

And of course, cotton pads is super important to me when it comes to using it with my toner and also makeup removal. :D

And so… today I will review about my new found love, the cotton puff/ pad, from Etude House. I previously use Premier’s cotton pads, in case you are wondering.

In this cute little pink box, it contains 80 pieces of cotton pads.

And those cotton pads are not your typical everyday cotton pads.

Really!

It comes in 2 different texture, and it’s just in 1 piece!

Look!

Notice the difference? They both have different functions apparently. :P Shall get down to that… soon. And if you look carefully, they have sewn the cotton pad’s side. Interesting…

The picture says it all. How to use both the wooly and the quilted side of the cotton pad. :D

I tested it out myself, and it did not tear. It did not leave any white cotton fibers on your face or on your nails when you are done using it. I think the stitches help to minimize it from tearing too easily. :D

And it’s quite thick. It consumes a little bit more toner than usual for me to use. Same goes for the nail polish remover and makeup remover. Oh well, I don’t really mind. The amount used isn’t really too much anyway. And even if I did used a little too much, it didn’t drip like those really thin normal cotton pad :P (Thanks to Tine I remembered this little detail!)

The only thing about this I can’t tear it into thinner pieces to do a quick mask using toners. So I guess I will have to resort to normal cotton pads for that purpose.

It retails for RM5.90 for 80 pieces, not too bad eh?

Update: LOL, I forgot to mention that I will be repurchasing this. It’s quite nice to use and comes in a nice pink box!

  1. I use a lot of other brands, and they perform so-so. Either the white fibers gets stuck, or it tear easily. So far Premier brand is okay, Tendersoft is so-so.

My sister says Watsons brand is horrible. I not sure though :P

  2. I’m currently using some locally (meaning India!!) manufactured one also… they’re horrible!! they don’t have this woven surface, so the tiny bits of cotton gets stuck on your face. It tears easily also!! so expensive somemore (about RM8 per pack???)! i can’t wait to go back to Malaysia!!

I tried the Watsons and Guardian ones before. They’re alright, but a little rough. The Watsons one is better than the Guardian one though!!

My personal favourite? the one from TBS!! They’re soooo soft and luxe!!! They’re the same as this Etude one, they have two different sides also! abit ex la (RM9.90 i think if they haven’t raised the price), but don’t we all need to splurge sometimes? lol! :D

  4. Hello! You bought the in house brand? My sister used those and said those were crappy. I never use it personally, so I can’t be sure.

I usually use Premier la… those are quite okay :)

  5. Yep, the last time i bought it at RM9.90 for 100pcs lor (the round one)! But now dunno how much liao! I hate price increases!! Last time the TBS shower gels used to be RM19.90 only… before i left in Aug they're at RM24.90 already. Hopefully they don't increase any further if not i'll boycott them liao! >.<

  6. omg! that’s why i hardly buy stuff from them!

if the price remains at rm9.90 for 100 pcs, still Etude House cotton wins! Cuz it’s cheaper! LOL

Yor, TBS should stop hiking the prices!

  7. Watson’s is thicker than Guardian’s. Hence, more toner/lotion is needed.

I prefer Guardian’s over Watson’s though, even though it’s not the best I’ve used haha.

I’ve tried Premier too. Feels more like Guardian’s.

Hahah I use a LOT of cotton pads, so it’s more economical for me to buy cheap ones.

But after reading your post, it makes me wanna get a better one :)

  8. I never use Guardian or Watsons, and so far Premier gets a nod from me and my sis and we both use countless packs of them :P

A better cotton pad is better in the long run i think. It’s your skin you are tugging at if you use a bad one :)

J and Tine said TBS not bad, maybe can try? I hope they did not hike up the price!

  9. I have used Watsons before, they are so-so but definitely not much to rave about.

This one looks cute and good! Talk about dual-functions^^

  10. Hi Cyndi!

Yeap! the pink box is cute :P I am not too fussy with my cotton pads, as long as they are decent. My sister hates Watsons cotton and swore never to use them, again. :P
