After reviewing the toner from the Star White Series, I thought I’d give the emulsion a write up too. I bought this Emulsion together with it actually. Xin, next time I buy the essence ya!

The emulsion comes in a classy bottle packaging, which it isn’t good for travelling >_<. I think I’ll break it some day! Unlike the toner, this comes in a pump bottle!

The liquid is pretty runny and not that thick. Unlike some stupid silly emulsion I was using before, comes in a glass bottle but the emulsion was so thick that it’s so hard to get the product out! And it’s not even a pump bottle! Gah! %(*&^(&)(*)(_&***$#$&

Okay. Back to the emulsion. I forgot to mention that I prefer containers which is transparent or semi transparent, so I know exactly how much product is left. With this opaque bottle, I can hardly gauge how much product left >_< I am pretty bad with guessing you see.

But don’t let my negativity influence you. There is good stuff about this baby too!

Finished reading? Well there’s more! Haha!

Like the toner, this is alcohol free too. Good for those who prefer non-alcoholic stuff.

Well sad to say although my skin does feel moisturized, it doesn’t give me the soothed and refreshed feeling at all. Instead, I was welcomed by a moisturized but STICKY face!

The stickiness must be due to me either:

  • using too much emulsion than I should
  • not applying it the right way
  • didn’t wait for my toner to be absorbed first before applying this

Whatever. I hate sticky face. LOL.

So I learnt my lesson, became a good girl by using half a pump for the day, one full pump for the night, and before I do that, I wait for a bit to let my skin suck in all the toner goodies. And gently patting the emulsion in instead of rubbing it in my face!

Yay! Hello pretty face, goodbye oil slick!

Well, not really saying goodbye to oily/sticky face, the stickiness is still there, but not as bad as my first few tries. Tee hee.

It does help to brighten and evening my skin tone to a certain degree, but like what I said in the toner review, the effect isn’t as great as to when I was living a healthier life compared to now. But at least the toner and this emulsion is keeping things in control.

At least I don’t look like a banana.

So are you buying this for RM100+ a pop?

Ah, dude, I tried this before earlier this year :D I agree, I don’t think the Emulsion absorb well either, not as well compared to the Cream. I was really impressed with the cream, too bad it’s so darn expensive and hard-to-get. Anyway, yea, sticky moisturizers. My current one from Beautymaker does this too xP I’m looking for a replacement.

It absorbs well on me.. N leave me a non sticky face at all. Maybe bcoz i have dry skin that this emulsion can’t handle. at night i have to use cream that’s much more sticky than this to keep my face moizt. >.<

Yeah! And it’s good enough to find something that doesn’t break you out especially if it’s pricey!
