hello! I’m currently using Philips’ curling iron and straightener. I find it quite good. in fact, it’s cheaper than other brands. However, it takes quite some time for the curling iron to be really hot enough to curl your hair nicely. But what you can do is to just leave it on before you get to shower or before you start applying your make up
On the other hand, Panasonic should be quite good too. I always see it in Japanese magazines. It’s just that the diameter of the curling iron is a little big. You can only enjoy natural curls. Whereas for Philips, the diameter is pretty small and you can play around with it to make big waves or small curls.
So…it’s your choice!

Thanks for the review on both Panasonic and Phillips.
But by the time I got your review, I’ve gotten myself a Babyliss curling iron.
Panasonic’s main attraction for me was of course the size and because it has ionity and of course, because of Japanese girls using it on almost all magazines!
Phillips was because of it’s ceramic coating, but I don’t see anything of ionity or close to it. >_< My biggest gripe.
Just wanna know, how is Phillips straightener performing? I wanna get a straightener too, but dunno which brand to get.

how’s babyliss’s curling iron? is it good? how much is it? lol i’m asking a lot.
The straightener…I hardly use it cuz I don’t look good on slick straight hair. It takes more time to straighten the hair too, cuz you can’t use a bunch of hair at one time, like the way you can do with the curling iron. But if you’re patient, the Philip straightener can do quite a good job. It can tame my frizz, make it look smooth and silky.
Anyway, mine comes in a set, straightener and curlers. I’m not sure if they sell the straightener individually.

The curling iron, fantastic!
Because I’m still quite new in curling my hair, so I need something which I can control the temp till I get used to it.
This does the job perfectly because it has a good range of temp settings. Never fry my hair anymore. But only thing is that it’s not ceramic coated, which means it’s made of aluminium and no ions either. So it’s a bit sad. But one thing though, for ceramic coated tongs, it tends to chip off after using it a while, which makes curling difficult, so I bought the aluminium one, which last longer, this info I got it from the guy who sold me the curling iron.
I bought it in Subang Parade in W3, the guy gives great discount at times, I got mine around rm120 after discount.
I thought of getting the Phillips Salon Pro XL, the larger one, looks like it’s quite good. Haha. I suppose it should work the same as the one you bought in set since it’s made of the same “ingredients”.
